2014: Year in Review
2014 was a huge year for Zach Egolf Photography. We saw the most business we've seen since incorporating as a business and made leaps and bounds forward in our work and the product that we deliver.
Real quick aside: I am Zach Egolf, but I'll often refer to Zach Egolf Photography as "We". That really just indicates that my wonderful wife was along to help, be that as an assistant, an advisor, or a second shooter.
Getting back to the year in review, though...
2014 Brought ZEP the most weddings we've shot to date, providing me with some of my most favorite photos I've ever shot. I've gotten the chance to interact with some amazing brides and grooms and hope that the experiences that they've given to me were returned ten-fold in the final product that was delivered to them.
2014 also provided ZEP with some amazing opportunities to capture that special moment BEFORE the wedding, with a few Engagement Sessions getting booked late in 2013, and early into 2014. It is these moments that truly bring a smile to my face. Brides aren't stressed from the planning process, grooms are still caught up in that initial excitement, and both members of the couple glow with the love and warmth of realizing that their futures together are forever.
This year, ZEP even threw in a little bit of modeling work, working with Jess over at Get Jessed Up to help her show off a few hot new Fall looks!
The biggest highlight, at least as far as client work is concerned, had to be all of the great opportunities granted to me from all of the generous families who decided to grow a little bit this year. 2014 seemed to be the year of Weddings and Babies for Zach Egolf Photography, and with just a few weeks left in the year, it may not even be over.
Whether it was maternity shoots, existing families, or the newest additions, Zach Egolf Photography had a huge uptick in non-wedding related shoots this year, and I couldn't be happier.
As 2014 comes to a close, however, I've come to learn one thing. No matter how many clients I've shot or will shoot, nothing will ever be as rewarding as being able to do a little bit of work for myself. Not only did ZEP do a ton of work for friends, families, brides and grooms, but we also welcomed a little addition of our own to the ZEP family. That, more than anything else in the world, is the greatest reward of all.
So from myself, and all of the "unofficial" members of Zach Egolf Photography, thank you so much for following along for another year, and here's to making 2015 just as successful, and just as fun!
