By now, Baby Hannah should be no stranger to anyone that has visited the site. That being said...good lord, talk about time flying! It seems like it was just yesterday I was taking this little munchkin's newborn photos and now you can hardly keep her still for 30 seconds to take her photos!
This was another marathon session, planned by Hannah's mother, and my wife (friends outside of ZEP), so we were able to get multiple costume changes, multiple settings, and even had time for a cake smash!
Hannah was a real sport, and a wonderful little doll to photograph. Hit the jump for more photos!Read More
Will has been making some serious waves with his company, vAuto Inc, and since he was getting ready to start a whirlwind tour of major parts of the United States, he needed a few new promotional images for posters, presentations and whatnot.
Will and I grabbed a few minutes together at a nice, peaceful urban setting and started to get to work. I was really pleased with the results, and think that we got some great images. Pop through the jump for more, and as always, if you're in need of photographic services, hit the "contact" link above, and drop me a line!Read More
Another adorable baby, and finally a little lady in a sea of baby boys! Baby Brenna was the perfect newborn to have in the studio. She was practically a limp dishrag when I got her in front of the heat and white noise, and we were able to shoot for an hour without so much as a peep!
Baby Brenna's parents are going to be great with her, and they're both truly blessed to have such an adorable baby.Read More
I'm not going to steal Cambria's glory, here, but you should probably know that as of March 28th, this little lady will be hitting her "One Year Cancer-Free" mark! You can read more of Cambria's story here.
Cambria's mother informed me that she was planning on doing her part to help other children like her, and was going to be hosting a lemonade stand of her own, in honor of the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. In order to help better promote the stand, Cambria's mother asked me to do a session with her daughter, and I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with the results. Cambria's such a trooper, and was an absolute joy to photograph. If you'd like to help her cause, you can donate here and once you've done that, click through to see more photos!Read More
You've not seen these two on the site before, but I swear that they grow a few years every time I see them! Landon and Logan have lived more in their one year on this Earth than most babies will live in their first 10 years. Both children are blessings to their parents, and you can just tell by watching them that they both know they're something special.
That being said, you can also tell by watching them that there's something slightly mischievous going on in their minds, so it was no surprise that these two took to a "Cake Smash" shoot like fish take to water!
These two were so much fun, and I'm so glad we were able to get some amazing reactions out of them both! Make sure to click through the post to see more photos from our session!Read More
Having know Jennifer and her family for a few years, now, I consider it an incredible blessing that she asked if I would shoot her marriage to her wonderful husband, Tyler. Knowing the family, I knew that I was going to be in for one of the more exciting weddings of the year, and their family and friends did not disappoint! Tyler, Jennifer, their friends and family truly exemplified the happiness that everyone deserves on their wedding day, and the two of them are going to live the happiest of lives together as husband and wife.
For more scenes from their big day, make sure to click through!Read More
Baby Tyler might have been one of the most cooperative, playful and easiest-to-work-with newborns that I had the pleasure of shooting in 2014, and I think that really comes through in the photos. I'm also really lucky, in that I've also had the pleasure of capturing the moments that happened BEFORE Tyler was born. WAY BEFORE.
Lisa and Ryan have a real cutie on their hands, and they're both going to make great parents. My wife and I are very lucky to have their family as our friends, and I can't wait to capture many more memories of their family in the future.

A gorgeous day, beautiful weather, a happy bride and an emotionally overjoyed groom. These are the things that make for an incredible wedding and, in turn, amazingly beautiful wedding photos. These are also the things that made Andrew and Aimee's wedding a joy to photograph.
I've been truly blessed to have amazing couples to shoot this year, and this trend continued with Aimee and Andrew's wedding. Continue through the jump to see more of the preview.Read More
As you can tell from the lead-in photo, Jamie and Steve's wedding was a TON of fun. I also have to say that Jamie might take the award for "Most prepared bride...ever". Super on-the-ball and prepapred, Jamie and Steve were ready for any obstacle they might have faced on their wedding day; a great preparation for those curveballs they'll be thrown in the many years of married, happy bliss.
Shooting these two was a real treat, and I'm really happy to be providing a small preview of their photos!

Not even two feet of snow could stop this handsome little dude from strutting his stuff for the camera. Rylan was one of the most playful and energetic one-year olds I've ever had the pleasure of capturing with a camera and that gave us plenty of opportunity for action shots, smiles, and good times!
Rylan didn't have a shy bone in his body, and he's going to only become more of a handful as the years go by! Hit the jump for more photos of our fun session.Read More
It's been almost a year since this precious little gal turned one year old, and in that year she's somehow managed to get even cuter! Lily and her family travelled all the way to Baltimore to spend some time in studio with me, and we got some fantastic shots!
Hit the jump for more, and if you've got a little one getting ready to have a birthday, hop on over to the contact page and let me know if you would be interested in a session!Read More
Okay, so the title of this post is a little deceptive. This was actually a kids shoot, but I'll go ahead and warn you right now:
If you suffer from cuteness allergies, stop reading. This shoot was overwhelmingly cute!
You've all probably seen previous posts about Addy and Ryder, separately, but I had the pleasure a few weekends ago of getting these two together for a shoot! I won't bore you with much more in the words department, so hit the jump for a preview of the cuteness (and even a surprise guest appearance!)Read More
On a crisp Autumn day (a lot crisper than we thought it would be), I was joined by little Harrison and his wonderful parents. There must be something with parents telling me that they're worried their little tike is "shy" and "might be difficult to photograph", because I've been blessed enough to be able to call them all liars!
Harrison shook off the cold weather and gave us some great faces, and made for a fantastic shoot!Read More

Now that my first wedding has come and gone, and my wonderful clients have been given their photos, I wanted to take a few moments to reflect on the experience. From just a single wedding, I've learned more lessons than I ever thought possible, and wanted to give my readers some insight into what went through my mind before, during and after shooting my first wedding. I will say this to start: Weddings are a blast, and I look forward to shooting more in the future (which is good, considering I'm booked for 2 more already in the next year). That being said, weddings are also a ten-hour blur of emotions, actions, and reactions and will present the average photographer with stresses the likes of which they might have never dreamed of experiencing. So for Part 1 of my "Wedding Lessons Learned" series, we'll take a look at the Pre-Wedding Festivities, up until the Ceremony.Read More
One of the things that I did not get a chance to do before I reviewed the Think Tank Airport Takeoff was to actually USE the bag in a setting that didn't involve just having the bag be a storage facility. Luckily, for me, I took a trip to Naples, Florida shortly after purchasing the bag and, despite being on vacation, still felt it necessary to bring nearly every single piece of equipment that I own. I figured that the only way to get a true read on how well the Takeoff was going to work was to really put it to work, and I have to say that, without a doubt, the Takeoff held up its end of the bargain.Read More
Ask nearly any photographer what one thing they're most likely to spend money on, and not be happy about, and there's a good chance they'll tell you the item is their bag. It's bags; not lenses, not camera bodies, not remotes or triggers, that seem to constantly be "improving" and yet never seem to satisfy the average photographer. Sure, some might tell you, "Well, I love my Timbuk2 Messenger Bag" or, "I don't go anywhere without my Lowepro Slingshot!" but talk to them for a few minutes and there's probably something that bothers them about their bag. Something that just doesn't seem to fit right, or sit right.Read More
One of the things I try my hardest to do, as a photographer, is respect the wishes of my clients no matter what. A lot of times, those wishes are simply "Can you hold off on sharing these with your readers until I've had a chance to surprise my family". That's not a very difficult wish to fulfill, and one that I'm more than happy to oblige. Unfortunately, as the years keep passing by, this means that I'm more likely to forget to actually share those photos once the "proof period" has expired. I was really surprised (and disappointed) to have recently discovered that I forgot to share one of my favorite family sessions from 2012, the Murray Family.Read More
